A Lifetime of Excellence

Boyd Huppert, Minnesota's most accomplished and beloved broadcast journalist, will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Upper Midwest Emmys. The award recognizes his exceptional contributions to the field of journalism over his 40-year career.

Huppert has covered countless major news stories, including the Vietnam War, the Watergate scandal, and the presidential elections of 1968 and 1972. He has also produced numerous documentaries and specials, including the award-winning "The Killing Fields of Cambodia" and "The Legacy of Rachel Carson."

Huppert's work has been recognized with numerous awards, including 10 Emmys, two Peabody Awards, and the Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism. He is also a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Silver Circle, which recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the television industry.
