Honolulu Man Survives Storm Drain Ordeal Thanks to Police, Public

Manoa resident rescued after four days trapped in storm drain

Police officers, firefighters, and members of the public worked together to free the man

A Honolulu man is recovering after being rescued from a storm drain where he had been trapped for four days. The man, who has not been identified, was found by police officers and firefighters on Thursday afternoon.

The man was reported missing on Monday after he failed to return home from work. His family and friends searched for him, but they were unable to find him.

On Thursday, a member of the public called police after seeing the man's hand waving from a storm drain on Manoa Road. Police and firefighters responded to the scene and were able to rescue the man.

The man was taken to a local hospital, where he is being treated for dehydration and exposure. He is expected to make a full recovery.

The man's family and friends are grateful to the police officers, firefighters, and members of the public who helped to rescue him.

"We are so relieved that he is safe," said the man's mother. "We can't thank everyone enough for what they did."
