Chelsea Women Maintain Winning Streak

Womens' Super League Champions Secure Victory Over West Ham

Kerr's Goal Leads Team to Success

Chelsea Women continued their impressive start to the Women's Super League season, defeating West Ham United 1-0 on Saturday.

The reigning champions were dominant throughout the match, creating numerous chances to score. However, it was not until the 56th minute that they found the breakthrough.

Australian striker Sam Kerr, making her first start of the season, pounced on a loose ball inside the area and fired a low shot into the bottom corner.

West Ham fought valiantly to get back into the game, but Chelsea's defense held firm, securing a vital three points.

The victory extends Chelsea's unbeaten run in the league to four matches, maintaining their position at the top of the table.

Manager Emma Hayes praised her team's performance, saying, "I thought we were excellent today. We controlled the game and created a lot of chances. I'm delighted with the clean sheet as well."

Chelsea Women will be looking to continue their winning streak when they face Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday.
